ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hans Rath impressionistic diction is manifested in his painting style as well as in the selection of motives. His paintings arise on one spot within several hours. The paint is applied in very straightforward and emotional way; the works originate as though from a single pouring, with impasto way of applying the paint by the “wet-in-wet” method. Landscapes, still lifes, as well as industrial architecture and human body - these are the essential themes of paintings by Hans Rath.
