Katerina Vincourova
in Czech Muzeum of Music
We would like to invite you to EYE`S LISTENING - A LITTLE TORNADO
Installation / Concert
at 22.12. 8:30 pm in Czech Muzeum of Music.
Katerina Vincourova / installation
Miroslav Srnka / music
Commissioned by Prague Modern, EYE'S LISTENING - A LITTLE TORNADO,is the premierepiece of a series ofinstallations “ecouter-voir / nahlížet nasloucháním” in which a visual artist and a composer will propose a new experience of seeingand listening (to) music together.
Here - an inflatable white structure where the original music of Miroslav Srnka is produced live by three or four musicians - Kateřina Vincourová subverts the usual continuum of “normal” concert where the space includesmusicians, sight and the act of listening. What happens when the sight is no more an organ of prediction, monitoring and verification? What kind of unveiling occurs when eye is physically placed in condition to listen and ear in condition to see?
