Markéta Pilátová se narodila v roce 1973. Vystudovala romanistiku a historii na Filozofické fakultě Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci, dva roky působila na katedře slavistiky ve španělské Granadě, poté v Brazílii učila potomky našich krajanů česky. Vedla zahraniční rubriku týdeníku Respekt. Vydala romány Žluté oči vedou domů (2007), Má nejmilejší kniha (2009) a také knihu pro děti Vivivíla (2009). V současnosti žije v Buenos Aires.

Spisovatele o svem oblibenem objektu, akci, instalaci..
Viola Fischerová (1935) vydala básnické sbírky Zádušní básně za Pavla Buksu (1993); Babí hodina (1993/95); Jak pápěří (1995); Odrostlá blízkost (1996); Divoká dráha domovů (1998); Matečná samota (2002); Nyní (2004); Předkonec (2007); Písečné dítě (2007), Domek na vinici (2009). Je autorkou rozhlasových her (Nesmrtelná kuřata, 1968; Jak Kuba vyzrál na Papejše, 2004) a próz pro děti (Co vyprávěla Dlouhá chvíle, 2006; O Dorotce a psovi Ukšukovi, 2007). Její verše byly přeloženy do několika jazyků. V Polsku vyšel výbor Babia godzina (2006, překlad Dorota Dobrew). Jako překladatelka se zabývala poezií Mirona Białoszewskiego, Rafała Wojaczka, Hanse M. Enzensbergera, Angela M. Rippelina; překládala také z korespondence Franze Kafky (Dopisy Felici) a prózu Eliase Canettiho. Autorka je nositelkou několika literárních cen (Prix Bohemia 2005; Magnesia Litera 2006; Drážďanská cena za lyriku 2006 aj.)
