ABOUT THE ARTIST
Markus Huemer has employed himself in the status of painting in the age of electronic images. Both Huemer´s interactive media installations and his canvas paintings investigte the interactions between painting and the art of digital imaging media. Huemer describes his approach as „medial mannerism“. Huemer has been concerning with the concepts, structures, and myths of art, and his sustained fixation on and reference to the medium of painting.
